This Privacy Policy explains how Ascendance Studio LLC (“Ascendance Studio,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit www.ascend-dance.com, contact us, book a lesson or buy a gift certificate (together, the “Site” and “services”). It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

• Contact form: your name, email, phone number (optional), area of interest and message.
• Bookings: your name, contact details, the service and time you book, and any notes you add, collected through our online scheduling platform.
• Payments and gift certificates: billing details processed by our payment provider, and recipient details for gift certificates.
• Lessons: information you choose to share with your instructor, such as goals, experience, a wedding date or relevant health limitations.
• Parents and guardians: for youth students, the parent or guardian’s contact details and the student’s name and age.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, we and our service providers may collect technical information such as your browser type, device, approximate location (city or region), pages visited, time on the Site and how you arrived. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in our Cookie Policy.

2. How we use your information

• to answer questions and respond to messages;
• to schedule, confirm, reschedule and deliver lessons, classes and programs;
• to process payments and gift certificates;
• to keep you safe during lessons and adapt instruction to your needs;

We may also use advertising tools such as the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel to measure the results of our ads. These providers process information under their own privacy policies. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the studio, and only as needed for that purpose:

Lessons, showcases and events may be photographed or filmed. We use images of students for promotional purposes only with their consent, or the consent of a parent or guardian for minors. You may ask us at any time to stop using an image of you.

6. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. For our youth programs, we collect information from the parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide our services, keep accurate records of purchases and lessons, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Contact form messages that do not lead to a booking are deleted when no longer needed.

8. How we protect information

We use reputable providers with industry-standard security, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

• You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
