Ballroom couple dancing at AscenDance Studio in Dallas

Starting ballroom and Latin dance from zero

Almost every student we teach started with no dance experience. Adults worry that they are too old, too uncoordinated or that they need a partner. None of that is true. This section is for the first few months, and for parents thinking about dance for their children.

Getting started

Why people dance

For parents

Our Youth Ballroom Program is $175 per month.

Which dance should you learn first?

If you want to start in a group, Rumba and Cha Cha are the best first dances. They are taught in our beginner Latin group classes in Dallas for $25 per class, and you do not need a partner. For social nights, Salsa and Bachata are the most useful. For weddings and galas, Waltz, Foxtrot and Swing. See all dance styles we teach.

The easiest way to start is a $59 introductory coaching session with Jelena Stojkovic at our Addison studio. See our private dance lessons.
